noel is... chill. she's happiest curled up with a good book, or bingeing a new tv show, or holed up in her workshop crafting the finest blades you've ever seen.
but she's also the girl throwing salt over her shoulder, knocking on wood, and never stepping on a crack that will break her mother's back.
she lies easily and often, as often as it suits her, but it's often not to be a dick, but to avoid the consequences of the truth. it's selfish, yes, but it's not vindictive. she's a pessimist who's just as messy with her belongings as she is with her feelings.
noel's most defining feature that will not be present in her icons is the fact that she has fangs. other than that, what you see is what you get.
the first impression that most get of noel is that she's reserved, perhaps too chill, and a little overly obsessed with weaponry. fortunately, that last bit won't be as much of a problem here at the adventure society!

noel is the daughter of a vampire and a mortal. or, at least, she assumes as much. truthfully, she was raised by her mother (a human) and her human mother absolutely denies the idea that her father was a vampire. despite evidence to the contrary. while she's never met her father, she's confident that he is actually a vampire.
once she hit puberty, things started to change. she started to have a sensitivity to sunlight and a new susceptibiity to migraines, but no one really thought twice about it. she also started to get stronger, faster, and simply be more... aware of her surroundings. eventually, they figured it out. trial and error. but also, mostly, she met a vampire.
though she went through a stage of "i don't even know who i am!", the whole situation calmed down eventually. in that, she understood what she was, and her abilities, even if she still struggled with who she was. she spent a significant chunk of time trying to track down her father to no avail.
and then she met a boy, fell in love, got engaged. he, too, was part of the supernatural community. in fact, she met him through a supernatural dating app while he was on vacation. and, well, he never left. unfortunately, due to his particular supernatural gifts, their relationship became quite strained over time. he was always busy, never available, had to leave at a moment's notice. he was just... unreliable. it wasn't his fault, not really, not when you knew the whole story, but it left her feeling... abandoned.
and, for noel, who already had abandonment issues, it led to her seeking attention elsewhere. she never fell out of love with her fiance, but she did fall into love with someone new. someone who did have time for her. who did show up when she said she would. who didn't disappear on her. and for a while, things were good.
except, of course, for all the lying, and the fact that she was cheating, and that he knew nothing about it, and that her relationship just kept getting more and more strained. and then, one day, she admitted it to him. and everything blew up.
but in time — and yes, there was couples therapy — they decided to give things another go. to try again. to work through their issues. (her lover, however, was left in the dust.) as part of that, they decided a change of location would be nice. and thus, here they are, at the adventure society, to start their lives anew.
